| This historical hotel has an outstandingly long tradition of hospitality, dating back to 1497 as a coaching inn. The Crown and Cushion was antecedently owned by Keith Moon of "The Who" - still lovingly remembered by the locals for his bizarre ways and unstinted parties at this hotel. The current owner maintains this hotel as full modern and functional conference and leisure center, offering the ultimate in comfort and fine cuisine from the freshest local produce. The Crown and Cushion offers 40 guests rooms, all with private bathroom facilities, and equipt with all modern comforts. All guests are granted impermanent membership to the Crown and Cushion's Leisure Club, which includes an inside swimming pool, a gym, a sauna, solarium and squash facilities. The nightly rate includes a full breakfast. The Crown and Cushion is convenient to fine dining, attractions and entertainment venues.
